Easter eggs provide a “surprise and delight” experience for consumers while allowing Freestyle customers to personalize their brand in a digital space and drive long-tail beverage sales. In 2021 we celebrated our first large-scale deployment and “let it snow” on over 6,000 dispensers. With tens of thousands of touchscreen dispensers standing idle in a newly contactless world, our team needed to think fast to keep pour volume up and our customers in business. The solution was a simple web application that allowed users to scan a QR code from the dispenser’s Home Screen, then select and pour their drink of choice from their mobile phone. The application was designed, developed, and deployed in less than 100 days.
